About Salaada
Salaada exists for one job: keeping a mosque's prayer times right without anyone having to remember to update them.
Most mosques already have a system. A printed timetable on the noticeboard, a spreadsheet someone maintains, a screen that was correct in March. It works until the clocks change, or the volunteer who owned it moves away.
Salaada replaces that with something that stays correct on its own. Prayer times are calculated from the mosque's exact coordinates using its chosen method, and they follow daylight saving and the seasons without intervention. Iqamah is set the way a committee already decides it — a fixed time for Dhuhr, an offset after adhan for the rest — and changing it updates the website, the phone view and the hall screen at once.
Who it is built for
- The imam or muezzin adjusting iqamah as the nights shorten
- The committee member posting a notice before Jumu'ah
- The volunteer who mounted a TV in the prayer hall and does not want to touch it again
- The worshipper checking tonight's Isha on a phone, outdoors, one-handed
- The Islamic centre running several mosques from one login
On accuracy
Prayer times are calculated astronomically, not looked up. Salaada supports the Muslim World League, ISNA, the Egyptian General Authority and Umm Al-Qura methods, plus Hanafi or standard Asr, and a per-prayer adjustment of up to sixty minutes so a mosque can match what it already announces.
At high latitudes, where the sun does not reach the twilight angle in summer, an angle-based night portion rule applies. Where the sun does not rise or set at all, times are derived from the nearest latitude where those events occur and are marked as approximate — rather than printing a number that looks confident and is wrong.
Hijri dates use the tabular calendar, which can differ from local moon sighting by a day. Administrators can shift it to match their local announcement.
